Augustine unveils cinematic “For The Moment” video, hacked from latest album release: Youth And Why It Ends.

The Swedish Indie Pop artist follows up his album release with an immersive visual.

Never one to leave his fans wanting, Swedish Indie Pop sensation Augustine follows up the release of his highly anticipated second album, Youth And Why It Endswith the visually stunning video for its album track, “For The Moment”.

Augustine's journey from sold-out shows in Scandinavia and Europe to prominent festival stages like Way Out West and SXSW in Austin, Texas, has been nothing short of meteoric. His music has not only resonated with fans but earned two Grammy nominations for his debut album, Weeks Above The Earth.

Building on this momentum and fuelled by an enthusiastic audience, Augustine now presents his latest offering, Youth And Why It Ends. The album delves into the theme of youth slipping away and the looming spectre of responsible adult life.

In reflecting on the album's concept, Augustine shares, "This album is about youth being over and how painful it is, haha. Suddenly, there's so much responsibility, and I can't really blame anything on youthful recklessness anymore. Everything weighs a bit heavier with each passing year, and I'm probably right in the middle of some kind of transition. Does anyone ever fully become an adult, and if so, when?"

Musically, Augustine, alongside his collaborator Rassmus Björnson, aimed to push their creative boundaries on the sophomore album. Youth And Why It Endsshowcases grand string arrangements, an abundance of California lo-fi guitars, and an overall more retrospective sound compared to Augustine's previous work.

The album's success is a testament to Augustine's evolution as an artist and his willingness to explore new sonic territories. Tracks like "For The Moment” exemplify the album's rich and layered compositions, providing listeners with an immersive experience that complements the introspective nature of the lyrics. And, with plenty more announcements to come, it's clear that Augustine's spellbinding journey is only just beginning.
